ABOUT US
Sapper Judo sits under the Army Judo Association which was founded in the late 1960s by Colonel Mike Harvey, CBE MC, a former Commandant of the Army School of Physical Training who won fame leading the successful break out of a Company of the Glosters from encirclement on the Imjin River.
Sapper Judo Club was co-founded in May 2012 by Captain Dave Campey RE and WO2 Chesney RE and became an established Corps sport later that year. It is, to date, the only Corps/Arm Judo Club and continues to pioneer how judo should be managed and fought across the three services.
Sapper Judo Club is proudly sponsored by Helyx SIS Ltd. and holds several training events every year and an Annual Tour. It is open to all ranks, Regular and Reserves, male and female. For more details please contact Major Dave Campey on 07740 334563 in the first instance.
